Prescriptions and Referrals

Prescriptions:

In certain circumstances and with the treating doctor's prior approval, prescriptions can be written for patients without a consultation. The patient can choose to pick up the script, or ask that the script be faxed and posted to their preferred pharmacy.

If a prescription order is placed without a consultation, an out-of-pocket-fee could be incurred. Payments for prescription orders can be processed over the phone, or in person via cash or EFTPOS.

Referrals:

Patients requiring referrals or updated referrals must book a consultation with their treating doctor. Referrals will not be written without the patient present. This is to allow the doctor to assess the patient so all information is up to date and the referral is written according to the patient's correct needs.
